Certificate IV in Christian Missions

The Certificate IV in Christian Missions (C4CM) is a live in course run over a two year period, which includes academic course work and practical application. The course will help you to be trained in the core aspects of being a full-time volunteer missionary with YWAM and further develop the skills, knowledge and character that you develop in the DTS.

The course will get you involved in many aspects of local ministry, be involved with a ministry team; and have you participate in outreach programmes locally, within Australia and overseas. You will continue to receive teaching and mentoring in discipleship, coaching in life skills and working alongside experienced leaders.

The training builds on what was learnt during DTS and covers such things as
• learning how to reflect the example of Christ in lifestyle and ministry
• setting ministry goals and making ministry plans
• developing ministry skills
• develop a support base / raising financial support
• develop evangelistic and missional skills
• enhance team work skills
• strengthen Biblical foundations
• How to work effectively in a mission’s organisation.

Pre-requisite – the successful completion of a DTS (Certificate III in Discipleship 10473NAT) or equivalent, prior to acceptance into this course.

Dates: the course is run in modules – and there are opportunities to start each semester.
Costs – there is a minimal cost per module to do the course – this will cover all literature

Course Work
A range of strategies will be used to assess the outcomes of the school. Journals, weekly reports, monthly action plans, book reports, supervisor reports are all utilised as a part of this. Our training programs are holistic in nature, and the topics are delivered concurrently enabling you to develop your skills, knowledge, and character.
