Our vision is to see as many lives as possible reached with the Gospel through evangelism, music, dance, drama and discipleship, to help individuals to identify a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and who we are in God, to offer a service that assists churches and organisations to reach the Sunshine community through ministry outreach opportunities, to see the Church plant movement, EAT, TALK & PRAY multiplied and duplicated in Australia and beyond.
The community we live in:
Sunshine is an extremely mulit-cultural and diverse suburb in Melbourne and it faces problems like violence, drug & alcohol abuse and many other social issues. We want to bring an awareness of peace, unity & love, to train & equip the generation of today to live a life that supports, respects and encourages.
Ministries:
Church planting is a ministry that models an evangelism tool of EAT, TALK & PRAY, it can be duplicated and multiplied in any nation and culture of the world and is a non threating way to share the gospel, this model can be used to build close relationships in any kind of environment and community.
Performing Arts is a ministry that uses the arts such as dance, drama and music to minister the gospel in schools, shopping centres, open airs, churches and many other locations that is non threating and is sensitive to so many nationalities and groupings of people.
Gateway Ministry is a ministry that releases workers and new ministries into unreached people groups and third world countries, to help support, encourage and pray for long term staff that have been released by different YWAM Southlands location into long term service. Gateway vision is to see 100 communities engaged and transformed by the year 2020.
Opportunities:
We are a growing ministry and we need staff that are committed to reaching Sunshine and beyond, to spread the gospel through performing arts and to see the model of church planting EAT, TALK & PRAY established in homes and lives of the community, to see more ministry houses released.
